Beyond the Green: 2025 Golf Tournament Recap

On August 29th, we kicked off Labor Day weekend with our 5th annual charity golf tournament at The Yards in Ponte Vedra. It’s hard to believe we have been doing this for five years! This year started off a bit wetter than we would have liked, but it did bring some nice temps. We are so thankful for everyone who contributed and participated to make this another successful tournament, from our sponsors to our volunteers to those who prayed and supplied items from our Amazon list. It takes many people to pull this off! Read below for some fun highlights from the day, as well as an opportunity to continue to support CHM beyond this tournament.
Funds Raised
We raised a total of $27,879 from this year’s tournament, plus we gained 7 new monthly sponsors! That’s an increase from last year, and we are so grateful for every penny raised! These funds are vital in helping us meet our monthly expenses, which provide food and other essentials for the 35 children in our care, paying the many hard-working Haitians we employ, and so much more.
Tournament Winners

Congratulations to all of our winners! First and second place teams each took home a VIP Jaguars Package, donated by PrimeAE; and our longest drive and closest to the pin winners took home gift cards to the PGA Superstore.
Our WHY Behind the Tournament
During our lunch presentation, JimBo Stewart shared from his heart about how we can do a lot of good (like sponsoring a child in Haiti) and be very successful in our jobs, but we might be aiming at the wrong target. He shared the importance of aiming your life at the right target, which is only possible through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Nothing else really matters if you don’t have that, and it is truly the why behind everything that we do!
Brad Davis, who serves on our board of directors and is the reason we ever began doing a tournament each year, also passionately shared a bit about Cabaret Haiti Mission, the turmoil that continues to ravage the nation of Haiti, and our child sponsorship program. He highlighted our newest resident, Dawensly, who came to us just two days before the tournament with nothing and was in need of monthly sponsors to help offset the cost of taking him in. Several people at the tournament stepped up, and Dawensly now has six monthly sponsors! THANK YOU to everyone who took action and chose a child to sponsor. We pray you are blessed through your generosity!
Our sponsorship program is one way we can generate consistent funding to provide for all of the needs that come with caring for the children in our home – all thirty-five of them! If you don’t already sponsor a child in our home, let me invite you to consider sponsoring one now for just $50/month. If you would be willing to sponsor a child, please click here to view the children in our care. Through that link, you can begin and manage your sponsorship online. If you would like to sponsor by check or if you have questions related to our sponsorship program, please reach out to Kenzie Allen at kenzie@cabarethaitimission.org. It truly does make a difference in their lives, knowing they have sponsors in the U.S. helping provide for their needs. They pray for you, and our hope is that you pray for them regularly!

We, of course, could not do any of this without our amazing sponsors – many of whom have sponsored year after year to help make this event a success! We are so grateful and humbled by their generosity!
If you are interested in being involved at any level next year, let us know. We will be sure you are in the loop when we begin planning for 2026. We are always looking for more sponsors, and this is such a fun tournament to be a part of – or so we’ve heard!
